The table below lists the recommended copper cable sizes and cable lengths for SQE motors. Proper wire size (gauge) will ensure that adequate voltage will be supplied to the motor.
To assure adequate voltage, the maximum cable lengths are calculated for when the motor is running at maximum nameplate amps.
Cable sizes (gauges) larger than specified may always be used and will reduce power loss.
The use of cable sizes (gauges) smaller than the recommended sizes will VOID the warranty. Smaller cable sizes (gauges) may cause under-voltage alarms.
