Safety

Thermic lance operations require high-pressure oxygen supply (75–150 PSI), an oxy-acetylene torch for ignition (120° angle to lance tip), and full PPE including heat-resistant clothing, face shield with proper shade lens, and gloves. Tip temperature exceeds 6,600°F (3,650°C). Work area must be clear of combustible materials. Only trained operators.
